The Grand Canyon is GRAND

Okay, Grand Canyon is AMAZING.

My legs are really sore.
We all realized that we could hike pretty darn fast uphill but were not used to hiking downhill (thanks to the invention of skis.) Nonetheless, it was one of the best spring break trips I have ever had. Thank you Berg, Holly, and Joel (pronounced ho-el).

San Juan Hut Trip

We had a great time skiing with friends outside of Ouray. We went on a mission for powder.... and we found it! Wahooo.
Check out Mt. Sneffels in the background.

Jackie and Sara Take on Winter (and Spring too)

So on Sunday, Jackie and I skied Snowmass with some friends. We had a blast as usual. Singing BERG-ilicious (our friend Catherine's last name), enjoying the snow, and hanging out by the fireplace after a long day. We had like 10 inches of fresh powder in many spots. Soooooo good.  Gotta love that fluffy white stuff when you are on your two planks.  Then today, Monday (thank you Presidents), we went to Fruita. We had a blast mountain biking (see pictures) and then stopping by Olive Garden (according to Jackie, this is a fancy place).  So we just tackled winter and spring in two days.

Our bikes and us were both tired after our first day out.

Pan Ohio Hope Ride

As many of you know, I am riding my bike across Ohio this summer to raise money for cancer. This ride is called the Pan Ohio Hope Ride.  It is 4 days, 300+ miles, and lots of humidity.  Great cause. If you want to donate, you can go to the Pan Ohio Hope Ride website and find team Cleve-Innati.  It is a tax deductible donation!

Thanks for supporting us in this great cause.

Here I am with my trusty old-school road bike that I will be spending some quality time with this summer.

Boise

Erin and I cruising around the woods near Boise.
Kona, the bearded dragon, is relaxing on my shoulder.
So last weekend, my dear friend Erin and I spent some quality time together in Boise. What a great place with good folks, trails, birds, dogs, and of course, The Co-op! We spent most of our time playing with the various creatures at their house, cooking yummy food, drinking adult beverages, and laughing with Micah. I will try to post some pictures from this fun weekend. I just wish Erin and Micah lived closer to us!
